Description: I am offering an unknown copper coin likely from colonial times for sale. This was sold to me as part of a low grade U.S. large cent lot, however, I can determine that it is not a U.S. large cent due to the partial shape of the bust that can be seen on the front. I am unfamiliar with most colonial coins though and am not sure what type of coin this is. The weight of the coin is 9.3 grams, and has a 27 mm diameter. The edge does not have any lettering that I can make out. This coin possibly circulated in the United States before the mint was established, and saw a great deal of circulation as it is heavily worn.
