Oh, please, please, please, please, please?" This is another post from that same Model T forum, so perhaps this is what it is used for. "The Sioux tool holds the bead so it does not slip off when you are working on the other side of the tire. In other words, it locks the tire in place so it won't slip off the rim until you get the entire tire on the rim. If you were to ever use two of them while mounting a 30 X 3 1/2 tire you would never want to be without a pair of them."
