Description: Up for consideration is a fine Antique signed and dated Minton Shell Cherub Compote with Cherub or Merbaby. This Compote or Centerpiece measures about 17.5 inches in height and is stamped "Minton" and sports the date code of "C" with "M" inside and model no. 1539. please see photos. There is some staining to the interior of which still needs a cleaning along with some minor flaking to the glaze likewise there is an issue on the back part of the descending blue blanket or lined that the boy holds...if you follow that down to the back side...there is an old chip that looks to be colored over. There may be some light crazing also in around the edge of the shell.... No visible repairs. Thusly it is being sold as one sees.
