Description: This is an extremely rare and beautiful 1811 english edition of The History and Adventures of the Renowned Don Quixote. Translated by T. Smollet in Philadelphia for Birch and Small publishing. It includes volumes 1 and 2 of a four volume set. The only damage is the top of volume 1 which is visible in the photograph. The books are leather bond and very nicely preserved.
