These handcrafted, poly bird feeders are made by Amish craftsmen in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They are made from poly lumber/poly wood (same material used to make decks and lawn furniture) and come with a white rope for hanging. These are extra large, heavy bird feeders and can hold four (4) to six (6) pounds of seed, making them even heavier. They will require a strong hanger. Each bird feeder weighs approximately 4.5 pounds when empty. The poly lumber/poly wood is made from recycled material and will not splinter, fade or crack. They are virtually maintenance free! Designed to be left outdoors year round in all types of weather. Poly bird feeders are currently available in five (5) birds: Cardinal, Blue Jay, Oriole, Eagle and Seagull. Pictures of the Cardinal and Blue Jay on the black post are made of poly lumber. All other pictures are of the birdfeeders made of wood, but this listing is for a poly lumber bird feeder. Currently we do not have pictures of the other bird feeders in poly lumber/poly wood. We will update the pictures in this listing when we get them.
