Description: Name: Gilmore City Crinoid Multi Slab (6) Age: Mississippian Formation: Gilmore City Formation Location: Gilmore City, Iowa Size: Plate is 6.6 inches across! We recently acquired some nice fossils from the late Joseph Butterfield Collection (NJ). We will be auctioning these fossils here over the next few weeks. This is a very nice multiple crinoid plate from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has SIX crinoids preserved (5 Eretmocrinus tentor and 1 Dichocrinus multiplex). The distinct crinoids are well displayed and nicely inflated. The fossil echinoderms have good color and contrast and are naturally positioned (no compositing!) on the large, natural-edged plate of shale. This is a very cool crinoid multiple from an historic Midwest fossil locality. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this item. Insurance is included in the shipping cost. Note: International customers may have to pay a duty at Customs - every country's rules are different.
