I have not measured any item with it, but I put fresh batteries in the unit and the buttons power the laser light and the memory button when pushed shows a digital display reading of zero. This unit has not fully been tested. The unit was previously owned by a mechanic who kept his tools in good working order. The device does have some stains on the housing, and the outside of the padded case has some dust from storage. Four AA batteries are required, not included. Disclaimer- Caution: Laser cannot be pointed at the eyes. The instruction manual is included, but has some stains on the front. Please see images for more detail.
