The cap slides off to reveal the eraser and lead container. Product Name We've been told the model number was 1604. We do not know if these pencils matched any fountain pens, the cap is certainly not one we recognize. Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, USA, late 1940s Length 5-3/16" Filling System The pencils take 1.1mm leads. Each pencil has a few leads stored in the interior chamber. The lead extends and retracts by turning the cone/tip of the pencil. We will include a small container of vintage Eversharp leads. Color Gold plated caps with black colored barrels. Condition New old stock and in near mint condition with some small marks on the cap. The eraser is soft and seems to erase cleanly.
