A graduate of the San Alejandro Academy, he has a renowned body of work in various Cuban publications. He has been hailed by critics as one of the most outstanding caricaturists in contemporary Cuba and one of the best urban landscape artists. He published his first cartoon in the publication Palante in 1972. Toledo poured his talent into graphic humor. Publications such as Melaíto, Pa´lante, dedeté and dozens of press media attest to his skill. He is the author of the album Viendo La Habana pasar (Boloña Editions, 2012), which represents a sort of "illustrated feeling" for Toledo. His 100 illustrations of a capital that defies time are compatible with the masterful synthesis ability of the chronicler. The particular work is a tribute to the Cuban creator "Chago."
