Description: This is a rare February 15th, 1932 "Playgoer" playbill from the National Tour engagement of the EUGENE O'NEILL trilogy "MOURNING BECOMES ELECTRA" at the Blackstone Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The Original Broadway production opened October 26th, 1931 at New York's Guild Theatre, transferred on February 29th, 1932 to the Alvin Theatre and ran for 150 performances before going on the road.) ..... The production was composed of three plays, presented on a single day, "HOMECOMING", "THE HUNTED" and "THE HAUNTED", with the first and second plays separated by a Dinner Intermission. The ensemble cast included FLORENCE REED, JUDITH ANDERSON, SETH ARNOLD, HARRY HERMSEN, BEATRICE MORELAND, ERIC KALKHURST, BERNICE ELLIOTT, CRANE WILBUR, THURSTON HALL, GEORGE W. CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is paper loss to two pages where the corners were torn, moderate creasing and minor edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
