Description: This is a Griffin, Smith and Hill Etruscan Majolica 5 1/2" dish. Shell, but no seaweed. It has the early backmark - pre 1880, plus a star on top. I don't know what to make of it, since I haven't found anything like it, except that it may be early, without the seaweed added. It is covered in crazing, there are some edge chips, and some stacking wear on the high points.
