Includes a glossy cover and 12 full-color full page prints plus a center fold out and smaller corner illustrations for each month. There is a manufacture's pierced hole at the top for easy wall hanging. Item is brighter and cleaner than shadowy photos can show. Artist: Alberto Vargas (1896 Peru - 1982 CA) was an artistic sensation during the 1940s and the WW2 era. At the age of 20 he immigrated to New York City where he studied at the Art Students League. Vargas pioneered the pin-up girl genre of the 1940s. He was also a pioneer of air brushing, a technique that he used masterfully in his original, timeless paintings of the beauty and sophistication of the idealized female form. Weighs about 9 ounces before packaging. Condition: This calendar makes a very nice presentation overall and is in very good preowned and used vintage condition. Photos can't do justice. Item is brighter, flatter, cleaner and more attractive than shadowy photos can show. There are no odors, rips, tears or writings. There is some minor front cover edge wear and subtle page turning creases to the cover and some inside pages, visible at certain light angles, and possibly a light smudge here and there, but nothing that detracts.
