Description: CONDITION: Wear to gilded rim. Otherwise, excellent condition. This glass vase was produced in France by Ernest Baptiste Leveille between 1870 and 1890. The vase measures 9 3/4 inches high and 5 3/4 inches wide. The glass is hand blown and has a wide polished pontil on the bottom. The glass is spattered, somewhat like tortoise shell coloring. The front of the vase is hand gilded with oak leaves and what appear to be daisies. The shape of the vase is unique. It is wide and oval at the top, tapering three quarters of the way down then swells out to taper once again. It is a stunning piece. #E872 IMPORTANT: PLEASE DO NOT PAY until you have purchased all the items you plan to bid on. Then wait for our invoice to include combined shipping that will save you money.
