Epiphone SG Special, 4 Wire Humbuckers, Coil Splitting, Grover Style Tuners

Make sure to check out my other 100 guitars at my ebay store "Axes Bold As Love Guitars". Here is a very cool Epiphone SG Special in a Pelham Blue finish with some nice upgrades. This guitar is in great condition, but does have a belt buckle scratch on the back, some scratching on the pickguard. The previous owner put the diecast Grover style tuners on and put tiny dowels in the holes left over from the old cheapie closed back tuners( you can see this in the picture of the back of the headsock). I did a quick set up to get some nice low action going on. Then I swapped out the stock pickups for some hot black 4 wire humbuckers, they meter around 7.6k-neck, 14.3k-bridge. Next I replaced the stock tone control with a push/pull tone control so you can split the humbuckers into a single coils by just pulling up on the tone control knob. Sounds great clean, but even better when you crank up the gain. I also upgraded the tone control capacitor. Neck shows near zero fret wear. Action is great. Guitar looks, plays, and sounds great.
