The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop lineup, a collaboration between Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop, has been significantly revamped. In addition to the already released 1958 Korina Flying V/Explorer and 1963 Firebird I/V, The new lineup includes the Les Paul Standard, SG Custom, ES-355, and Les Paul Custom, all of which are Gibson's flagship models. In collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, Epiphone is releasing the 1959 Les Paul Standard, a stunning reproduction of the rare vintage classic. The 1959 Les Paul Standard features a mahogany body with a maple top made of AAA flame maple veneer, a one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded medium C profile in keeping with the 1959 style, and a long neck tenon (deep joint) The headstock is the original Gibson headstock. The headstock features Gibson's original "openbook" headstock shape, with an aged MOP logo, tuners, pickguard, and binding in the vintage style. The pickups are Gibson Custombucker pickups, which are also used on Custom Shop products. The guitar also features 50s wiring, CTS potentiometer, Mallory capacitors, Switchcraft selector switch and output jacks, and a full range of sonic specs. A vintage-style hard-shell case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo is included. The collaboration between Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop continues to produce unmistakable, accessible, high-quality guitars.
