Description: The guitar is a 1970’s era made-in-Japan Epiphone Excellente FT-550 6-string acoustic guitar (right-handed). It was, at the time, Epiphone’s highest-end professional series dreadnought guitar.It has a laminated spruce top and a striking 3-piece back made of highly figured Jacaranda with a curly maple centerpiece. The sides are also Jacaranda.The fit and finish are outstanding. It has some very minor fingerboard and fret wear, some swirling marks on the pick guard and in the finish as well as a very few other minor marks and scuffs.Structurally the guitar is also solid. The neck is straight (no twist but does have some relief),the bridge is solidly connected, and the top is flat. A recent professional setup included new strings and neck and saddle adjustments.
