After the start of the Russian full-scale invasion in 2022, the DFTG «Khartiia» was created in Kharkiv, which became part of the 127th TRO brigade. The unit participated in the battles for Kharkiv and in the Kharkiv region. In the winter of 2022, it fought near Bakhmut. In March 2023, the «Khartiia» unit joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine and became the basis of the 13th Operational Brigade of the NGU «Khartiia».
