Entire Letterpress Print Shop Lot with Chandler & Price Pilot press

Description: Complete letterpress print shop equipment can start you on your way to earning money. This equipment is a compilation of two print shops, my dad’s who used it during retirement and mine that helped me pay my way through college. With it we printed business cards, wedding invitations, ham radio QSL cards, invoices, stationary, envelopes, greeting cards and even grocery store paper bags (because they’re hard to produce with high-speed modern commercial equipment).The equipment is located in very northern Wisconsin, approximately 75 miles north of Wausau. We can schedule a mutually convenient time for you to look at the inventory and then, if you decide to buy, I will help you load it in your truck or trailer.At the center of the lot is a beautifully reconditioned Chandler & Price 6 ½ x 10 inch “Pilot” (“Old Style”) letterpress. All related accessories are included including fresh all-season rollers, trucks and chaises. The printing press is outfitted with a mechanical counter and sets on a custom made stand.There are at least 80 fonts of type. Some of the fonts are capitals only. There are also many fonts of logos, punctuation and graphics such as squares, stars and decorative borders and brass and metal rule. In addition there are many logos and photoengraved cuts with imagery. The lot includes a great deal of leads, spaces and wood furniture for setting up the chaise. A great deal of paper and card stock is also in the lot as is many colors of ink although some of the ink is quite old and may not flow very well anymore. A number of custom made type cabinets is included as well as storage cabinets. The inventory includes a lead cutter, planer, quoins, large paper cutter, numbering machine, type cases, composing sticks and other tools that a “printer’s devil” requires. I will not sell the fonts or any of the inventory separately. This goes as a lot only.
