Description: This original Gibson J-200 acoustic guitar is an extremely rare guitar. Only 2 (TWO) were produced ... this is #2 of 2 ... #1 (ONE) sits on the showroom floor of Gibson headquarters. Produced to commemorate the TWENTY year anniversary of Elvis' passing. The executive in charge decided not to move forward with the limited production of 250 units because he felt the iconic guitar was much too rare to release on a larger scale. Only Elvis Presley himself had the black guitar with his name on the fretboard in abalone inlay. You won't see another original Gibson Jumbo 200 like it. This gorgeous guitar recently underwent an extensive & expensive restoration at Gibson (paper work provided to buyer) ... everything restored to like new condition except for the original finish ... we decided to leave that alone ... there is mild check finishing on lower front (See pictures) absolutely perfect inside and out everywhere else and plays beautifully. After restoration was completed by Gibson in 2020 ... it has been housed inside of an American Music Furniture humidification single guitar display (NOT INCLUDED) away from any direct sunlight. I wasn't planning on selling this guitar as it was a gift from my Father ... he was a carpenter to the "stars" in Los Angeles and the journey this guitar has taken is quite an interesting one (will share story with buyer) but the original case is the standard vintage brown with Gibson logo and is in excellent condition and the pink interior with silk pink Gibson interior cover for face of guitar is also in excellent condition. Guitar will ship securely placed with strings loosened (if it travels by air this is a must) in the case and shipped in original box.
