Measurement is from end of buckle to first and last available hole. Aim to select a size in which your waist size fits in the middle - so if you're a 38" waist with all of your gear on, you'd want an XL instead of a Large. SIZE CHART: Extra Small: 23-27" Small: 26-33" Medium: 30-37" Large: 32-39" XL: 36-43" 2XL: 37-45" 3XL: 39-47" The total length of this belt is 37 Inches. It will fit lifters with a waist measurement of 23" to 27" according to the chart but I think it could fit someone up another 2 or 3 inches but no larger than 30. These are the extremes of the belt with the 23 being the tightest setting and the 30 being the loosest. It has 10 sets of holes approximately 3/4" apart from each other which is perfect for smaller lifters as other company belts have the holes 1" apart which makes it slightly tougher to get that maximum tightness. These used to sell for 95 bux new from the company. They haven't had them in over 5 years so this is a real find for the right lifter!
