The blank was measured and drilled, then trued on each end before being placed on my Rikon midi-lathe for the shaping using various chisels. When the desired shape was achieved I then took it through a multi-stage sanding process finishing with nine steps of micro-mesh, ten coats of CA for durability and sheen, followed by a five step polishing resulting in a glass like finish.
