Description: Early American Hunting Pouch / Possibles Bag - aka "Squirrel Bag"Veteran Arms LLC is pleased to offer this excellent reproduction of an Early American Hunting Pouch - often colloquially referred to as a "Squirrel Bag." This bag is made of attractive brown leather with fine fringe around its perimeter and flap. Just like the original bags of the mid-1700's to early 1800's, the bag is relatively petite - measuring approximately 7 x 7 inches. Inside, the wearer will find a separate tool pouch and a small ring for attaching accessories like powder measures, game calls, or vent picks with a lanyard. The bag comes with a leather shoulder strap approximately 1 inch wide that is adjustable via an iron buckle. One particularly useful feature of this bag is the incorporation of two small straps suitable for the attachment of a powder horn (sold separately). Although beautiful as-is, the bag can be distressed to give it a well worn, antiqued appearance. Pair it with one of our small traditional priming horns to complete the perfect ensemble for a day in the field.
