Description: A small, nearly antique, vase made in the factory of Josef Kuba, JKW Decor Karlsbad, Bavaria, with a panel scene depicting a music lesson taught by a man in period clothing with a woman seated playing a mandolin and a man standing playing a flute. The scene is a transfer based on an earlier renaissance style oil painting. The vase is accented with 24K gold floral scrollwork across the lower portion of the vase as well as framing the scene and accenting the back. There is 24K gold trim along the top edge of the piece. An art deco style border accents the top of the vase differentiating it from other pieces currently available on the market. The vase is a warm chocolate brown with a vivid cerulean blue border on the back. The art deco border has yellow toned colors accented with blue. We date this vase from the period 1930-1935 based on the maker's mark and art deco style border. No other examples of this pattern are currently available on the antique or vintage market. Dimensions: Approximately 4.75" tall x 4.25" diameter
