The entire thickness of the wood is dyed to guarantee uniform color. The veneers are then dried, reassembled and bundled for further processing. An advantage of dyed veneers is that it eliminates the labor of staining and color matching, and repairs are easily done with sanding and touch-ups. If the color you are seeking is not presented, pending the scope of the project, we can color match to your sample. * Veneer Cut: Rotary Cut - the process of peeling the entire long. Turningthe log, while shaving the veneer as it turns produces Rotary Cut veneer.This process is the only cutting method that is capable of producing wholepiece face veneers. Rotary cut will yield veneer with a broad grain patternwith no plain sliced or quartered appearance. *Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion arepossible. Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are aliketo start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can varygreatly even though it is the exact same species.*There are many factors that influence the color, grain andappearance of natural wood veneer so the picture you see on our website is arepresentative sample of that species of veneer. The veneer you receive canbe slightly different in color and grain appearance because each treegrowing in nature is unique unto itself. Another reason for a difference incolor is that you are viewing a sample picture on a digital computer monitorand colors will not reproduce the same on all monitors.
