Description: Dybbuk Box. Antique Brass. Bone Handle. 1800's. Possibly Haunted. Approximately 6.75"x4.5". One of the boxes I've had the longest ..probably close to 30 years. I don't know the full story, but the individual I acquired it from said it had been passed down for generations in his family. He said that he didn't know its origins, only that it had eventually been handed down to him, and he wanted nothing to do with it. I wasn't sure how honest he was being, but after doing a Google image search when I dug it out of storage, these boxes were handmade in India in the 19th century. The handle of this one is bone, which I haven't seen on ANY other boxes like this. Kitten absolutely hates this box, and wouldn't even hold it for the photos. I know I won't get back what acquiring this box cost me, but we need it gone now that it's been brought out of storage. We can't guarantee anything paranormal since spirits etc react differently to different people and environments, but this one definitely has a presence of its own, and will be back in storage until it sells
