It has a full, bushy growth habit, is a colorful and profuse bloomer, is easy to grow in tropical and subtropical climates. Abundant bright, sunny, golden yellow, bell shaped blooms appear in mid Spring and last til early Fall, and are surrounded by dense, dark green leathery textured, pointed leaves. The smaller stature and compact habit of this hybrid make it well suited for mixed perennial beds, pots and baskets. It is, however, less cold tolerant than other types, and should be protected from temperatures below 40 F. Dwarf Bush Allamanda grows and thrives with a minimal care and attention. It has many versatile uses in a warm climate landscape . Quick growth rate and bloomability make it well suited as an annual filler, border or in mixed perennial beds, or in pots, planters or baskets in cooler climates.
