Description: OK FIRST THING to keep in mind, I did NOT build these with Dropfleet in mind. I play Full Thrust Project Continuum so these ships were put together with fleet aesthetic in mind. I do not know if any ship here is legal in Dropfleet. Never played it. They are assembled and a couple are primed. Hawk Wargames and TTCombat have both put out some kits that were somehow far worse than finecast. You can see this in the older resin models where there are large gaps I had intended to fill. I had intended to do a lot with this gorgeous fleet but 3D stuff has consumed my life. Now onto the bases… So these are Cosec Engineering bases and boy let me tell you they are rare. Like rare as in the inventor of them unfortunately passed on and made no provisions for the patent to be passed on. Since I’ve based both of my UCM and PHR fleets on them, I’ve split my entire stock of Corsec down the middle and included half with each fleet. What are they? You have clear acrylic bases with markings to denote all facings you use in Full Thrust (3/6 sides) but not Dropfleet or Battlefleet (4/8 sides). Bases that look brown simply have a backing you peel off them. Each one has a threaded insert that you screw the stems into. You then had two options for “doohickeys”. The doohickey is the part you glue into or onto the ship. I’ve run out of the ones that penetrate into the ship and only have external ones left. There are plenty provided to expand your fleet. You then screw the ship onto the completed base. This system provides a solid and sturdy (literally metal) base that matches any play field and can be unscrewed and taken down for storage. My head canon is that Hawk Wargames lifted the idea for their widgets from Jonathan (RIP) and I’ll die on that hill. Ok so now here’s what you get. Bunch of bits. I will be cutting off all remaining bits from the sprues seen EXCEPT the complete sprue. They’re heavy and there’s no point charging you shipping for sprues that thick.
