Description: This is a “Domain of Neptunus Rex” also known as the “Order of Shellback” certificate issued to Aloysius Leo Londraville (1892-1948) who was serving during WWI aboard the U.S.S. Raleigh as it crossed the equator (latitude 00000) on May 6, 1918. This large unframed certificate was found in the estate of his son, Albert Londraville (1922-2015). The U.S.S. Raleigh (C-8) was commissioned in 1894 and was in service until 1919. The certificate reflects some minor staining but no fold marks or tears. It is 16” x 22” and would look great framed in your home or office. This 105 year old certificate will be shipped flat and carefully packaged to preserve it.
