The "muting " material is a high-density urethane the metal components are Hardened Naval Brass.The Capo is simple and quick to adapt to your Square Neck Guitar. Or Round Neck with a Nut Riser.When you view the photo of my 60DS Dobro, the other Koa Reso was made by Ray Fairchild. Notice tuners and nut area... with the Capo...mounted... my Dobro 60-DS, you can also notice a Naval Brass Nut Riser...which I can supply, they are precision machined...not cast or bent forms. They elevate the strings approximately 1/8 inch. There is a naval brass washer and a Delrin washer between the tone bar and the tightening nut. The string height must be at least 3/8 inch above the frets, measure at the top of the 1st fret to the underside of the string at the same fret position.The Capo overall length will work perfectly on a guitar with a maximum string spacing of 2-1/4 inches or less measured from the 1st string to the 6th string, or fret length.If you are looking for a high-quality, cost-effective Capo …. that works…this is it and you pay less than half the price of some other Capos. The photos show this Capo on a quilted maple, Fairchild Dobro. Ray Fairchild passed away last year. The other Dobro and Mini Weissenborn guitars are available from Jack Stepick, Luthier.
