The thread is clean and has been kept in smoke free storage. This auction is for size 5 DMC Pearl Cotton color number 3021. The first picture shows the actual skeins being sold in this auction. The second picture shows the stock DMC picture for this color, which may be a better representation of the actual color of the skeins, but colors may display differently on different devices. Each skein is 25m (27.3 yards). Size 5 Pearl Cotton can be used for cross stitch, hardanger, needlepoint, and more! Why 12 skeins? DMC Size 5 pearl cotton is shipped from the manufacturer in boxes of 12 skeins each. So even though these skeins have been removed from their box and put into drawers as individual skeins for retail sale, as a shop owner we still think of 12 skeins when we think of selling a lot.
