Description: Diecast Model CarBburago No. 4168 - 1:43 ScaleFerrari F40 Evoluzione Red Bburago started out in 1974 as Martoys in Burago di Molgora, Italy. They were founded by Mario Besana, who had previous experience of producing diecast cars from working with his brothers Ugo and Martino in their company, Mebetoy, which was founded in 1960, and subsequently sold to Mattel in 1968. Mario had just joined his brothers at Mebetoys in 1967 shortly after they had started producing diecst cars in 1966. The Bburago brand name first appeared in 1976. It is thought the 2 Bs in the brand name stand for Besana and Burago. Around 2004 Bburago revived the Polistil brand name and issued models made from Realtoy castings under it. In October 2005, Bburago were acquired by the Chinese May Cheong group, best known for making models under the Maisto brand name. This model depicts a Ferrari F40 Evoluzione, finished in red racing livery, and complete with original box. At 1:43 scale, it measures approx. 9.5cm in length. Excellent pre-owned condition. Box has minimal wear and no serious rips or splits. Model itself is clean and excellent condition. See photos - all photos show actual item.
