Description: Dexter Russell cotton sampler knife 7.25" carbon steel blade, wood handle. Model 2516 or 80361. Handle length 5.25". The knife is new old store inventory. Although the knife is new, there are blemishes from years in storage. The knife has slight rust near the tip of the knife. There are also some minor scuffs on the blade. Please see pictures for details. The cotton sampler knife is traditionally used to plunge deep into a bale of cotton to retrieve a sample. The knife may also be used to cut rope and twine, multi-task harvesting, and industrial cutting applications.
