Description: Desoutter Pnuematic 540 RPM Air Screwdriver Model 2D8 PX-540 Overall good condition tested both forward and reverse and works great. I originally purchased this tool years ago when Boeing had a surplus sales outlet in WA. Boeing closed the surplus store around 2007 It has been in my heated indoor shop since that time. It has not been used for any work but periodically I apply air and run it to keep it in good condition, There is one defect please see the second to last photo showing that Boeing had an opening in the tool covered with black tape. I noticed the tape when I was cleaning the tool, the tape was adhered evenly and looked like part of the tool. I believe this opening was for easy access for adding lubricant, this opening is where the point of the pen shows the opening. The last photo shows new tape re- applied to the opening after I removed the previous tape. This tape does not affect the operation of the tool in any way and the tool functions normally as it should. The tape matches the black color of the tool and it is hard to notice unless you are looking for it. The output device is a 1/4-inch hex with a speed of 540 RPM. Desoutter is known for making a high-quality long-lasting tool. Easy access on tool for forward and reverse and a nice tool hangar bracket and a pistol grip trigger start.
