Description: The perfect finishing touch for your clone build!! Here are DOD acceptance stamps for your M16A1 and M16A2 builds and others during that period. These stamps would have been used during the Vietnam War era. There are three sizes, small (1/2"), medium (3/4") and large (1"). The price is for all three sizes, The small stamp measures 1/2" x 1/2" and was used from 1968 to 1993, and also included the M16A2 rifles produced during that time period, and the stamp was placed in the front of the magwell. The medium stamp is 3/4" x 3/4" and was used for the M16A1 and XM177 style rifles put into service in 1967 by Colt and in 1968 by Colt and H&R and stamped on the left magwell. The large stamp is 1" x 1" and was used only by the GM Hydrodynamics Division, and was stamped on the left magwell.Instructions: Spray or brush a thin coat of white paint on a non-absorbent surface. Gently press the stamp in the paint and then LIGHTLY press the stamp onto the desired location. The image will become more distorted the harder you press. Also take into account how they were actually used. You can be very careful, get them centered perfectly and a perfect stamp impression, but that is not how a quality inspector in the factory did it. There was a cart of weapons that were accepted and then the inspector went very quickly to stamp them with the DOD stamp and moved on. The stamps are very detailed, but see attached pictures on how I did it. I think it looks more authentic.
