Description: This is a vintage index card (see picture) nicely signed by deceased PHILADELPHIA A's first baseman and CANADIAN BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME member HANK BIASATTI. Hank Biasatti played for the Philadelphia A's in 1949, hitting just .083 with two RBIs. However, he is perhaps best known for his basketball ability. Biasatti played professional basketball in 1946 with the TORONTO HUSKIES of the old BAA, which later became the NBA. He was the first international player ever, and the only Canadian to ever play basketball and baseball at the top professional level in both sports. In 2001, Biasatti was inducted into the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame. Sadly, Hank Biasatti died in 1996 at the age of 74. This index card is from the collection of Karl Wingler, a noted baseball researcher and historian who obtained players' autographs during the period of the 1940's through the 1960's. It is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and creasing from handling and storage over the years. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Hank Biasatti enthusiast, A's or Huskies historian, or vintage autograph collector in your life! Postage is $5.00. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
