He won an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Major Stovall in Twelve O'Clock High (1949). ZIZI JEANMAIRE (b. 1924), born Rene Marcelle Jeanmaire, is a French ballet dancer and the wife of the late dancer and choreographer Roland Petit. She went on to perform in several Hollywood films including Hans Christian Andersen (1952), Anything Goes (1956), as well as the French anthology film Black Tights (1960). Following her brief stint in Hollywood, Jeanmarie returned to dancing, and ultimately produced over 60 shows with her husband.
