Description: Presented is a wonderful antique American 14 karat white gold and diamond bar pin or brooch, dating to around the 1910s-1930s. The pin is done in a gorgeous filigree openwork design with finely hand engraved detailing and a milgrain finish to the filigree work. Set in the center is an old mine cut diamond of about 10 points in size. This is a nice clean stone of SI clarity and G color or better, it is very white and clean, with a lot of life and fire. The pin has a lever catch style safety clasp, which is quite secure. The pin is stamped 14k on the clasp as well as a maker's mark. We have tested this piece with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold. This piece is in excellent condition. The diamond is well set with no chips. The clasp functions well and closes securely. The pin measures about 2 1/2 by 1/2 an inch. This pin weighs 3.8 grams. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
