Description: This is absolutely a must have for any Haitian fine art collector, a rare set of paintings done in black and white by David Rouzier. Most of David Rouzier's paintings are done in color so these are rare for those who know and love his art. David Rouzier was born in 1934 in Port-au-prince, Haiti. In 1949, he joined the Centre d'Arte. He later joined the Foyer des Arts Plastiques which was formed by those sophisticated artists who were dissatisfied with the way issues facing teh Haitian people were addressed. He worked closely with Rene Exume and Emanuel Jolicoeur. In his art, he uses a clear strong palette that allows him to add great depth. He depicts peasants in country landscapes.
