DAS Heartland 1 Marble Collector Series: Lavender & Teal Aventurine

Description: DAS Heartland 1 Collector SeriesLavender & Teal AventurineMINTRun Date: May 2014 This DAS Heartland 1 marble is a wonderful example of a rare colored glass with some added pop and sizzle with aventurine. In this particular case, this Heartland 1 marble has a beautiful deep lavender purple glass that covers a large percentage of the outer surface. This is a completely opaque marble, by the way. The added bonus is that teal colored aventurine glass that sparkles and pops with huge flakes. Some of the aventurine flakes are so big that they could almost be mistaken for a flaw in the marble surface quality. Don't make that mistake...this marble has no flaws. Those flakes reflect light in a very reactive way to show off it's brilliant colors and sparkling nature. This marble has that lovely lemon yellow swirl to delineate the colors in an orderly fashion. The balance between order and chaos in this design is simply delicious. Don't let this one escape you. Keeper vault...here she comes. LOL I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was made on the 3/4" marble machine and it measures 0.718" in diameter with a pair of electronic calipers. Note: as a note of clarification, that last picture is a good example of a large teal aventurine flake that pops so brightly that it might be mistaken for a flaw...it is definitely not a flaw...it is a big aventurine flake.
