Description: Daniel Lotton Signed Ornament 1989 RED with Multicolor Glass Christmas Ornament. Daniel Lotton began working in his fathers glass studio at the age of 15. His first responsibility was grinding paperweights while learning the art of glass making. By the age of 20, Daniel had developed a line of glass all his own. Today, he still strives to create beautiful pieces of glass in the Crete, Illinois studio that he shared with his father, Charles Lotton who has passed away. Christmas Ornaments are one of Daniel Lotton's signature pieces and he still makes these beautiful creations today. This ornament was made by Daniel in 1989 and is properly signed by the artist. Colors are red, yellow, cream and a metallic overlay that appears olive green. It measures approx 3" in width and is 5" long including the beautiful aventurine cobalt blue glass hook. Signature is difficult to see but is zoomed in on last picture shown. This piece is in excellxent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Kept in a display case. Please see the detailed pictures. Stand is not included, used for picture only. My wife and I were avid collectors of Lotton Art Glass. This piece will be sent USPS priority mail with insurance.
