I make them all from raw materials, so each one is unique. The leather has natural imperfections and the wood is smooth to the touch. They are only finished with a light application of linseed oil, so all materials will age and patina naturally with use. I give the penny a slight dome and it is set into the center. It is pleasing to the touch and will tarnish with time. However, the penny will continue to shine in parts with continued use. It will also include a flexible braided steel key ring with a vinyl coating and screw closure for easy use. This particular one is made from brown leather with a red oak center and a penny from 1977.
