Description: ***Custom Commander Deck*** Arcades the Strategist - Walls - EDH MTG Magic Cards This listing is for a custom magic the gathering Commander/EDH deck. This is a complete ready-to-play 100-card deck, and all of the cards are authentic English-version magic cards. I took several pictures that show all of the cards in the deck, so please look at those pictures so you can see what all of the cards do and how they interact with each other. Arcades is the key to this deck. Normally, a wall is a boring, harmless, waste of a card. With Arcades on the battlefield your walls become huge creatures with the ability to attack. Additionally, the low casting cost of these walls combined with Arcades card-draw ability allows you to out-value your opponents and build up your wall army in a hurry. Many of these walls can even draw you extra cards and add extra mana all on their own. That combined with Arcades abilities makes it hard for your opponents to keep up with you. When the moment is right, send your wall army into battle and claim victory. Most if not all of these cards are in Near Mint or Mint condition. However, Arcades, the Strategist, a powerful elder dragon, changes all of this, allowing these usually passive creatures to become offensive threats. This deck is built around Arcades' unique abilities, aiming to use a multitude of defenders as both sword, shield, and fuel for your engine.What Makes Arcades SpecialArcades is a value powerhouse. For starters, it has decent stats for its cost, but that's not the important part. Drawing a card for nearly every creature you cast is a really powerful effect. As long as you keep drawing creatures, you can keep playing cards! Arcades also buffs up your creatures a lot. Defenders are balanced by having the atrocious keyword, defender. Arcades not only removes that keyword, but buffs your creatures' mediocre power to match their toughness. Turning a Wall of Runes into a 1 mana scry 1 draw a card 4/4 body is a little ridiculous.GameplanAs the name suggests, Arcades depends on strategy. With the low curve of this deck, you will often have a plethora of options that you need to measure. There are a few key things to keep in mind:Your creatures are your threats and your fuel. It will be tempting to dump your hand and present a very threatening attack, but if someone board wipes after you do, you will be quite sad. By having a measured offense and using your cantrip creatures to keep on the gas, you can always recover, ensuring you are always in it.It is also important to note that Arcades is very important to your strategy. Without him, your troops don't draw cards and instead, would return to their weak base form. Using tools like Jeskai Barricade, Negate, and Unbreakable formation, you can keep Arcades safe so you can continue being the power player.You have a number of combat tricks like Stoneskin, which are very undercosted since they do not normally boost power that much. With Arcades, that is 3 mana +10/+10 at instant speed, which is absurd. After a few hits with Arcades' natural evasion, every swing represents a lethal threat.Lastly, you have a number of board wipes like Slaughter the Strong or Fell the Mighty. Since your creatures have very low power, these are nearly one sided putting you at a huge advantage. Most if not all of these cards are in Near Mint or Mint condition.
