Description: LIT CHICKS This listing is for a one-of-a-kind, custom American Girl doll and accessories that represents the 5th wife of notorious King Henry VIII. She is beautiful Catherine Howard - cousin of Anne Boleyn and sharer of her fate! Catherine is an American Girl #33 Truly Me doll that has been cleaned, tightened, and then outfitted in a custom outfit and accessories. Catherine Howard has two looks: As a beautiful Queen at the height of her teenaged fame, and her "Heading-To-The-Gallows" look. As Queen, Catherine wears a luxurious satin and brocade lined gown, accented with lace, ribbon and roses. She wears a gold heart pin at her throat, golden slippers, and snow white bloomers. On her head she has a multicolored twist ribbon with a pink and gold butterfly pin! She even has a copy of a scholarly 'book' about her brief and tragic reign. As she heads to the gallows, Catherine Howard wears a plain muslin shift with snap closures, and holds a miniature rosary. Finally, her head can be easily removed by untying her neck ties to unveil red ribbon 'blood'. Can be posed many dramatic and unsettling ways! All kidding aside, I've been lucky to visit Tower Green and the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula where Catherine Howard and Anne Boleyn are buried, and it's quite moving. She is marked American Girl on her neck and is a Truly Me / Girl of Today #33. Catherine has side tags, tight limbs, nice strings and her eyes shut and open just as they should! Her wig is currently curled but generally, this is a wavy wig. Please note that she has a small red mark on her back.. Lit Chicks dolls are meant for display.
