Buddy Hilseberg, who used to manage favorite CTS venue the Recher Theater in Towsen Maryland, asked John Palumbo if he would sign an Album to help raise money for Catherine’s Fund For Cystic Fibrosis (CF4CF), which had been created in honor of his daughter Catherine, who had not survived this deadly disease. JP then took it to another level, which led to an Ebay auction for an acoustic concert at the winner’s home. Nearly $5,000 was bid for the privilege of having Crack The Sky perform in my basement. All interested parties were invited with the stipulation that each donate whatever they could afford to CF4CF. When it was all over, 50 people participated in an event that raised over $20,000 The entire performance was also recorded for a CD release with all proceeds going to CF4CF. I am both proud and thrilled to have been able to facilitate this event and the CD release. I can’t thank everyone enough for helping to bring this to fruition, but my heartfelt thanks go to JP and the rest of Crack The Sky family for their generosity.
