Provenance of this piece: This matted photo and autograph came from well-known autograph and comic book collector & dealer, Harry Thomas (Memoryville - "The original friendliest dealer in the South"). He lived in Sweetwater, TN. Most of my purchases from Mr. Thomas were made in the period 2003 to 2007. At that point in time Mr. Thomas had been collecting comics and autographs for over 40 years. By 2007 he had over 11,000 positive feedbacks on EBAY, with a 99.7% approval rating. Many of Mr. Thomas's purchases were in-person autographs he obtained at special appearances, Golden Boot Awards, Cowboy Hall of Fame inductions and western memorabilia shows. Autographs not obtained in person were obtained from trusted sources. Mr. Thomas was an advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide for nearly 40 years. This Johnny Mack Brown autograph came from the collection of Brooks Coleman, a well-known collector of cowboy memorabilia and a well-known Georgia politician. In 2006 Mr. Thomas purchased over 500 signed photos and cut signatures from Mr. Coleman. Mr. Thomas advised that over 90% of this collection were obtained in person by Mr. Coleman.
