P - is for the Original Corning ware that ran from the 1962 through 1971; though some pieces stayed P- models all the way through 1999. like the Menuettes, Petites & Grab-its. A - is for post 1972 Corning Ware, when they straightened the sides and widened the handles (the lids have larger knobs too) Later, the stamp would be embossed under the handle. This listing is for various pieces of vintage Corning Ware in the iconic Cornflower Blue pattern. No chips, cracks, or unusual wear on any of these pieces, UNLESS SPECIFIED BELOW. So, please read carefully: Pyroceram C-15 1 1/2 Quart Square w/ LID - This is a rare Pyroceram square casserole dish that measures 6 3/4" X 6 3/4". 2 3/4" deep. Lid is Pyrex A-7-C. P-21 Open Roaster without wire rack: manufactured between 1962 and 1971. Measures 13" X 9" X 2". P-9-B Square w/Lid - this lid is a Pyrex A-9-C. Pre- P-9-B Pyroceram Square w/ Lid RARE - Took a bit of research to find out what this backstamp is all about. This piece was manufactured 1960 - 1961 and originally came with a really cool fin lid. This one is being sold with a Pyrex A-2 lid which has a tiny flea bite on the rim. This was advertised as a 9 inch "skillet". This size later became known as P-9-B. Good condition for its age - does have one stain in the bottom and a few on the back (see photos). P-1-B Square w/ Lid - The lid is Pyrex A-7-C. P-1 1/2-B Square w/ Lid - The lid is Pyred P-7-C. P-1 3/4-B Square w/ Lid - The lid is Pyrex A-7-C. P-2 1/2-B Square w/ Lid & CRADLE - The lid is Pyrex A-9-C. The cradle is P-11-2-1/2-M-1. P-41-B 1 3/4 Cup Square - Holds about 12 ounces. P-76-B - Large Roaster/Lasagna Pan - Measures a whopping 17" X 11" P-81-B Pint Saucepan / Skillet w/ Lid - The lid is Pyrex P81C. 1 Qt. Square (no number) w/ lid - Blue ink backstamp that reads, CORNING WARE 1 Qt. Lid is Pyrex A7C. Lid has a rough area on the INNER rim (the part that fits down inside the dish). When the lid is on, the rough area cannot be seen. If this is your pattern, here's a chance to expand your set!
