This is a brass federal eagle shako hat badge from the 1880s US Army Indian Wars era. The badge measures 4.5"x3.75" and features an eagle design with Gun Shield and Ribbon, Arrows & Laurel. It is a genuine original piece of militaria from that period, and would make a great addition to any collection focused on the Indian Wars. It comes in very nice condition as described above and pictured.
