Description: Here's a wonderful unique rare item - an Original Signed Engagement Contract Agreement between Jay Kirk, a comedian, represented by George Claire Associates and the Vogue Terrace, located in McKeesport, PA. The contract called for Mr. Kirk to do 2 shows per day for 6 days in April 1955 for the tidy sum of $400 (less 10%). The document comes from the personal collection of Mr. Kirk who was a Comedian 1950s-70s mostly fairs, nightclubs, corporate events, etc. He never made it big and lived in Ridgefield, NJ, for many years. We don't know if he's living or not and can't find any info on him, but it seems he had a fairly successful career and worked hard. The Vogue Terrace Dinner Nightclub was in business from approx. 1942-1963 when it was destroyed by fire some say under mysterious circumstances. It never re-opened. Condition is fair upper left piece missing as you can see. This is a great Vogue terrace collectible that will ship fast and FREE!
