Description: Consolidated Lamp & Glass Antique EAPG Florette Celery Vase, Pink Satin Pretty celery vase with a flared rim and quilted base. Celery vases were a popular feature of many Victorian dining tables. Pink satin glass, called "mauve" by the manufacturer. The pink and crystal versions of this pattern were called Florette in the original catalogs, while other finishes were called Quilt. The pattern is also known as Bulging Petal. Early American pattern glass, introduced in 1895 by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co.Condition: Two tiny nicks to rim, possibly from grinding during the manufacturing process. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Some unburst bubbles in the pink layer, and a few tiny, shiny rubbed spots to the satin finish. Marks: Unmarked. Dimensions: 6 1/8" high, 4 3/4" at widest point.
