The fiberglass and the carbon pencils in this set can be sharpened with a regular pencil sharpener.Directions and recommendations:1. The pencils should be used in circular motions. Start gently and then figure what amount of pressure is appropriate.2. Can be used in conjunction with liquid cleaners like Pararestor, Monetor, Clean Bill or Mint State Restoration cleaner. These cleaners will help soften any tough crust or concretions while the pencil gently removes it. 3.
